Women’s Social Empowerment Initiative
Maryland Hillel is committed to each of its students by fostering a sense of community and empowerment as well as create unique and exciting venues for Jewish women to connect across campus. Through powerful events, such as ManiCURE for Sharsheret, Women’s Shabbat and other special programs; Women’s Social Empowerment fellows will have the opportunity to create programs and opportunities for Jewish women to meet and connect with new people in their own unique environment, connect with powerful Jewish women in the broader community and to have fun, grow and build a Jewish community for women on campus
Fellows will be expected to attend weekly meetings to learn what it means to be an empowered Jewish woman/leader. The fellows will be charged with creating meaningful and fun programs for their peers that help foster a sense of community and growth for Jewish women on campus.
