Maryland Hillel and Repair the World Partner to Inspire Students to Serve
Maryland Hillel is excited and proud to announce that we have joined in partnership with Repair the World, an organization committed to inspiring American Jews and their communities to give their time and effort to serve those in need.
Working together, Hillel and Repair the World will make volunteer service a defining component of Jewish life on our campus and inspire students to recognize the transformative potential that they have in addressing social injustices. Together, Maryland Hillel and Repair The World will inspire Jewish students to take an active role in giving back to their communities and the world.
Through our extensive Alternative Break program, Hillel and Repair the World offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in another community in order to learn about and actively combat social justice issues. In conjunction with our AB program, Hillel offers a plethora of local opportunities for students to make an immediate and on-going impact on the community around them. Lastly, students can learn of the exciting social justice initiatives and work being done in the Jewish Community through our Blog For Change which brings personal narratives of Jewish leaders making a difference to our students.
We invite you to learn about our Alternative Break Trips and on-going initiatives. Continue to watch for new trips and local opportunities being offered.
For more information, please contact Amy Weiss, our Repair the World Director of Alternative Breaks.
