FELLOWSHIPS

Maryland Hillel seeks to engage and strengthen Jewish student leaders on campus through a series of intensive niche fellowships. Students partake in ongoing leadership training and seminars in particular topic areas, and then create programming and experiences for their peers.

• Alternative Break Fellowship:  Plan and lead international and domestic alternative winter/spring break trips.
• Campus Entrepreneurs Initiative (CEI): Engage uninvolved students through peer-to-peer relationships and creating new initiatives on campus.
• Kolker Saxon Hallock Tzedek Fellowship (KSH): Plan ongoing local social justice initiatives like volunteering at High Point High School, Jewish Group Homes, and more.
• North Campus Leadership Team: Plan programming and gain leadership development skills, working with underclassmen
• Blaustein Jewish Education Fellowship: Engage in intensive learning and training to become peer educator, enriching Jewish learning throughout campus life.
• Blaustein Israel Fellowship: Learn and discuss different aspects of Israel, then create opportunities to share with other students.
• Jewish in Greek Life Fellowship (NEW this year!!): Create new and exciting programs tailored to bringing the Jewish Greek community together.
• Women’s Social Empowerment Initiative: Create programs and opportunities for Jewish women and build a Jewish community for women on campus including ManiCURE for Sharsheret and Women’s Shabbat.

STUDENT GROUPS

Maryland Hillel has something for everyone – singers, environmental activists, spiritual seekers, people interested in interfaith dialogue, Israel advocates – you name it! We have dozens of on-campus Jewish student groups funded by both Hillel and the University. Groups are run by students for students with the support of our professional staff.

And if you don’t find what you’re looking for, we will help you create it.
